I am a gastroenterologist specialized in the field of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Functional gastrointestinal Disorders.
My research / PhD / Post-doc / projects
My PhD project aims at deciphering host-microbiota crosstalk in Acute Severe Ulcerative Colitis (ASUC), which is a severe flare of Ulcerative Colitis (UC) with bloody diarrhea and systemic inflammation. Our hypothesis is that an imbalanced gut microbiota enhances the immune reactivity to microorganisms of susceptible UC patients leading to ASUC instead of a non-severe UC flares.
